Whats the best hair straightner without paying an arm and a leg?

i'm not a big money spender, i save. But i really want a good hair straightner, i bought a 40 dollar one, it sucks. but i dont want to pay two hundred for a chi...(however it's spelt)

Whats the best hair straightner without paying an arm and a leg?

i have the ... Remington wet to straight? 'cept i don't use it when my hair is wet because i don't want to damage it too much, but i love it! it straightens really well for me (i have asian hair in case you wanted to know) it didn't kill my savings, i got it for about $30 - $35 at kohl's, i don't remember which. hope you find this helpful!

Whats the best hair straightner without paying an arm and a leg?

My Conair was about 50, and it works really really well. I swear by it. =D

Whats the best hair straightner without paying an arm and a leg?

I use this one and it's ok:

http://www.target.com/Conair-Ultra-Slim-...

but you could try these, they're all from Target:

http://www.target.com/Andis-Ceramic-Curv...

http://www.target.com/Conair-1-5-8-Ceram...

http://www.target.com/Head-Professional-...

(this one's expensive, but i hear it's good)

Whats the best hair straightner without paying an arm and a leg?

i have frizzy and very curly hair im black and puerto rican so i got that mixed hair if you are just going to use a straightener i would suggest the kqc ( my hair stylist use to use the chi but now she uses this and it works miracles), to get the best result i would suggest you use a hair dryer and a flat iron, if you are going to use both i would suggest for a hair dryer to look at my blog and it gives you some tips and ideas but there is a website to the right of the page and it is a direct link to folica which has everything you could possibly need to know about hair dryer and straighteners, and for a straightener if you are using both to get the corrioliss it cost about $100-150 but if you go to ebay you can get it for about $35 i hope this helps...

the blog and website (folica which is right next to the blog) will give you everything you need to know..

Thinking of dying my hair, need help please!?

Basicly i want to dye my hair but i have many dilemmas.

ages ago my sister did a few blonde highlights in my hair it does blend in with my hair because it is a mix of colours:

some people would say its blonde but some would say brown, its kind of golden like maple surup lol.

i was thinking of using a semi-permant dye (blonde dye) on my hair but a freind said it wont really change the colour of my hair because i have never dyed it all over before and that it would only make the blonde highlights really blonde.

but i also was thinking of dying it a semi-permant brown, someone said that blonde brings out your hair but brown brings out your face. i do have quite a big nose so would it make it look even bigger?

and also i am trying to grow my hair so would using strong chemicals on my hair be bad for my hair and may stop it from growing as quickly? i was thinking of using a natural dye but i saw a tv programme and the results of natural dyes werent very effective. many thanks =] x

Thinking of dying my hair, need help please!?

okay ive dyed my hair alot of times already so i know what im talkin bout...first of all ur friend is wrong...blone is going to dye ur hair al over not just make ur highlight brighter it is gonna dye all ur hair.it only matters on the shape of u face..and that is only with hair styles not hair colors.hair colors make ur skin color look darker or paler. if u r a dark white dark brown will make u look paler but not to much.blond will make u look alot paler but u would look good.(i think u should go with the brown)auburn works good to or burgandy..no it will not make ur nose look longer..IF U DYE UR HAIR MORE THAN 3 TIMES U WILL SLOW DOWN THE GROWTH OF YOUR HAIR (THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE HIGHLIGHTS) much luck...............: %26gt;)

Thinking of dying my hair, need help please!?

no, i don't think that brown brings out your face. but to avoid damaging your hair, you should consider dying it wih henna hair color. it can't make your hair blonde, but it will make it a pretty brown with no damage!

Why don't you use one of those coloring shampoos? It's easier, cheaper and after 24 washes, you need to do it again.

The color, you get to pick. If after all you're not happy with your hair color, dye it in a salon then.

Hair Issues!!!! Please Help!?

Ok. So a lot of girls at my school nowadays are wearing their hair in these twisty buns. It looks like they took a section of their hair, and twirled it into a loose, big twirl and did this in various places and pulled their hair into a bun/pony tail. I dont know what this hairstyle's called, I'm really sorry. But does anyone know the name of it, and can you please post steps on how to do it?!

Hair Issues!!!! Please Help!?

Okay... well, I have NO clue what this may look like, so I just googled some bun styles and here's a few of what I found... hope this helps hon... but if it doesn't... why don't you just ask a girl to help? Okay... that's probably a stupid question... I know how high-school/middle school girls are... bitches, right?

Anyway... here are the links... (I think the top might be it)

Hope this helps... I'm sorry if it doesn't...

Hair Issues!!!! Please Help!?

just throw it up there and don't try to make it look nice. whenever i do it i usually have my hair wet and don't look in the mirror because when i do that i try to fix it and it looks bad. or you could try this thing i saw in seventeen:

**best for straight/relaxed/wavy hair**

you'll need ...

hair elastis, bobby pins, and hairspray

follow these 4 steps:

1) Wash and blow-dry your hair, then brush it back to form a ponytail at the crown of you head. Secure it in place with a no-slip hair elastic that matches your hair color. If you have bangs, leave them down.

2)Divide the ponytail into two even sections. Take the right section of hair and wrap it once around the base of the pony in a counterclockwise direction to form a loop. Secure this piece under the base of the pony with bobby pins, leaving the ends hanging free.

3)Take the left section of hair and wrap it once around the other loop in a clockwise direction. Secure with bobby pins again, leaving ends loose. Take the ends that are hanging below the loops and randomly pin them up into the loops to create a tousled knot.

4) Place your hand in front of the knot and gently sweep it toward your hairline-- this will loosen some hairs around your face for a softer look. Mist your hair with an aerosol hairspray from 10" away. Then lightly smoother down any stray hairs.

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

my hair=frizzy

when i straighten it its all big still and frizzy

i am always putting conditioners and stuff in my hair

got any suggestions for soft and silky?!?!

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

I have the same problem, you should use *garnier fructis*, the shampoo and conditions in the green bottles. Its made specifically for frizzy hair. I used to think my hair suckd too girl lol but after using garnier my hair turned out great.

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

frizz-ease

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

SORRY

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

if u were near i would be able to help u more. try frizz ease maybe ur not straightening it right.

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

Maybe you should see a hair expert or something? Or when you take a shower, bring a comb in the shower with you and brush it through out the shower. That works for me.

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

look for something that doesnt have any alcohol in it. any kind of serum does.

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

go for the sinead oconnor look

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

Try to find a Redken salon. They have a new conditioning line out called "Chemistry" and there is an anti-frizz "shot" they can add to it. It's available at Hair Cuttery.

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

you have great hair go to the beauty-shop they can help you

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

In the morning brush uyr hair then get ur brush wet and brush it agin i used to have frizzy hair too.

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

a razor.

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

Find a way to make it work for you...

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

use dove shoopoo or codtioner or frirt garna

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

you can wear the frizzy look

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

schwartzkopf flattener, or depp(both made by schwartzkopf) with a shine enhancer like pantene finishing. Non sticky and non-flammable. Towel-dry hair. Apply to hair in back, then flip hair all back an apply to front. Use a flattening iron after drying.

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

You should try a hot oil treatment for starters. Then find a conditioner that is for frizzy hair.I get frizzy hair after it rains.I also have to use Tresemme shampoo and conditioner.Try it it might work.

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

My sister had hair like your are describing. She finally found a hairdresser that cut it to her hair type. When layered properly the natural curl is brought out and is managable. Sounds like you have been blowdrying your hair too much too. After a good hair cut, I recommend using a serum. This is applied while the hair is still damp. There are many types to choose from and very little is required. It is best to have a hairstylist show you how to apply it, but you can also experiment at home. Less is better, you can always add more.

Hope this helps!

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

I have the same problem. When you use conditioner let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse.Don't use a brush when your hair is wet use a big tooth comb. Always start at the end of your hair when you brush or comb your hair,it helps on reducing breakage and split ends.Frizz ease helps some, but it didn't work wonders for me.Hope it works out for you!

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

I used to have this stuff. It's pretty good. When you shower use shampoo and conditioner. I think Panteen Pro-V is the best! Then after your done and your hair it still wet, put in some of this weird stuff. I think it's called leave in conditioner, and you use it after ypu have a shower and your hair is still wet.

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

you have what's known as high proteinized hair. you don't need products of any kind that say protein . you need moisture. your heat has probably been on for a while which is making it more frizzy and lacking moisture.

try these steps.

1) use ethnic hair products ie:shampoo and conditioner

2) never put your hair on top of your head to shampoo ; don't rub your hair - not even with a towel-finger comb

3) always towel dry before conditioner and rinse with cool water (don't rub the hair in the towel to towel dry.

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

frizzy is beatiful! I know lots of boys who like frizzy hair as well as or better than straight or wavy hair. brush it before u go to bed at night so it isn't 2 dry or tangled in the morning and u should be fine. try pulling ur hair back in a ponytail or a braid kor with a headband and that usually looks good with frizzy hair.

My hair sucks!!!!!!!!?

Frizz- Ease is Good Stuff...that is the best possible solution.

Help.. big ears.?

I used to think my ears were big and when I was in 4th grade my friend said "why do you wear your hair like that, it makes your ears look big" ever since then I was really self-concious and especially because i've always been on the chubby side and I kinda got over it but today this kid was talking to his friend and pointed to me and and said I had big ears. I want surgery and I asked my mom like a year ago and she was like NO WAY! I'm scared to ask her again, what should I say? I want this surgery badly.

Help.. big ears.?

live with it.. my sister always picks on me with the size of my nose, but hey, nobody's perfect.. if you got sergery, then there is a high risk of it looking even weirder! and anything your born with was made to suit you..

Help.. big ears.?

dont listen 2 them bitches ok

jst im chubby 2 n i kno how it feels i sware 2 god

but i gotten a lil skinier

n guys ask me on dates but dont listten 2 them

Help.. big ears.?

awww. Hun. those jerks can mind there own damn business! seriously. there is nothing wrong w/ you and personally plastic surgery is a wast of time %26amp; money. everyone has thier characteristics....even though you think they are big and rude people laugh at you deosnt mean you should change them. im sure those boys have PLENTY things wrong with them, dont worry about it. =]

Help.. big ears.?

Ears do not make up the person

you are, I understand it must hurt when

people say stupid things like that, but the

surgery would be extremely expensive and painful,

If you are reallly uncofortable with it then just wear your

hair down, but if i were you I would wear my hair up and wear

the brightest coloured earrings I have, and show everyone I dont give a crap if they think my ears are big, Hope this helps xo

Help.. big ears.?

live with it like eastcoastcuti said. i have a bad nose.

Help.. big ears.?

You didn't say what your age is. If you're not done growing yet you may well "grow into" your ears. Are your ears actually too big or do they just stick out a lot? Ears that stick out excessively can be fixed pretty easily. I'd imagine that surgery would be a lot easier than one to change the size. Ask your mom if you can at least discuss the issue of your ears with your doctor at your next check-up or appointment.

Help.. big ears.?

I would let my grow passed my ears, that you be and easy fix.

Help.. big ears.?

dun care about what other say.

Big ears in Chinese culture is good!

Help.. big ears.?

I have big ears. But I made it where it wasn't noticeable. Consider changing your hairstyle to cover your ears or frame them if that makes sense. Your propabley just self conscious and its really nothing.

I do not know what do with my hair!?

So tommorow is picture day at my school (Big 5th Grade) and I need tips!My hair is naturally wavy, so I'm thinking about curling it.......Anything else????Like smile tips, Clothes ideas, and background color?

I do not know what do with my hair!?

i remember 5th grade picture day being so important so obviously u need to look good. Since u r probably 10 or 11, u can wear make up right? Well if u can, add a little bit of mascara, clear lip gloss, and eye shadow like light pink or baby blue. Those are what people look at. Your hair should be curled. That will look really pretty. Since noone will be able to see your pants (unless it is class pictures too) you may want to wear just sparkly jeans or something like that. Then wear a cute shirt.. here is a cute one:

http://www.tooinc.com/

Wear one of those shirts, but since ur pix day is 2morrow, u may not be able to buy them. Wear something cute. A cute double layer t-shirt will look nice. As long as it does not look like u just woke up. And wear something that may bring out your eyes.

When smiling act like someone is tickling u and pose ur natural smile. That is the prettiest smile of all. Your background should match ur clothes. And remember to keep ur hair looking glossy and perfect. 5th grade picture day is important.

I do not know what do with my hair!?

Just leave your hair normal, thats what people will remember you by. Whats the point of making it all special for one day, and thats not what people will remember you by anyway????

I do not know what do with my hair!?

loose curls use regular night curlers or a ponny tail

I do not know what do with my hair!?

Just dress like it was an average school day.

I do not know what do with my hair!?

Leave your hair how it is normally, that looks more relaxed and cute. Then don't smile with your gums, that is gross. Wear a shirt that has a design that is simple. Blue backgrounds look good with any color shirt.

HOPE THIS HELPED!!!!!!!

I do not know what do with my hair!?

whatever you do, do not put it in a pony tail big mistake. if your hair is straight brush it right before you go, and put on lip gloss. if its curly check to make sure its in the position you want... very critical and... clothes... cute skirt and a tank

I do not know what do with my hair!?

just smile like ur usual self! when i got my driver's license pic taken i did a makeover for the pic... i liked it so much that i kept it! if u dont want to do that kinda thing just be ur regular self as ppl will remember u as u were!

I do not know what do with my hair!?

dont put your hair in a way that is like a big trend right now, because some day you will look back on that picture and be like wow, that was what was "cool" back then. so dont do anything special, just dress like it was a normal school day, because you also dont want people to look back through the yearbook and be like, "yeah that girl didnt really ever dress like that, she just did it for picture day"

I do not know what do with my hair!?

Wear solid colors.

Preferable in more subdued hues, they enhance facial tones and do not detract from expression. Very bright colors really stand out and can lighten or darken flesh tones. Wear long or short sleeved tops, avoid sleeveless.

Wearing accessories.

Choose accessories that won't detract from your timeless portrait. Wearing simple earrings, necklaces, and hair adornments will enhance your image.

I do not know what do with my hair!?

Check out thousands of hairstyles using http://mo8.org for links to websites offering different hairstyles, tips and free makeovers, you will be able to find something suitable. You can also upload a photo and try different hairstyles

I do not know what do with my hair!?

Just leave your hair natural, because that's how everyone knows you'll look.

Wear like either jeans or khaki pants. If you go with the khakis, I'd wear a blue shirt. Of course, it's your picture day, so wear what you'd be extremely comfy in!!

I do not know what do with my hair!?

While first starting from hair

http://www.matrix.com/find_your_hair_sty...

http://www.matrix.com/find_your_hair_sty...

http://www.matrix.com/find_your_hair_sty...

since your hair is naturally wavey dont over do it with curls you will end up looking like a poodle

*and just to let you know you can use your own prducts to style your hair you dont have to use those products.

For your face i know your in the 5th grade soo you probaly dont really care for makeup or about your face but ask your mom if she has a face cleaner you could use wash your face with it tonnight and tommorow morning . Also ask if she could lend you a bit of a light light pink lipgloss(u should never wear lots of makeup on pic day)

For your teeth

BRUSH BRUSH BRUSH

Brush your teeth extremely well tonight use floss and listerine

tommorow morning before breakfast do the same and after breakfast and also once more right before you leave. Try and see if it is possible to bring your tooth brush to school and some floss and a travel size of listerine just to use before your pictures.

Smile naturally dont try anything different put a pic of yourself on your mirror and smile and look to make sure that your smile looks naturally.

For your outfit just a pair of jeans and a quite top without any logos sayings or pictures like something similiar to the following

http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?cat...

http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?cat...

http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?cat...

also black is a great color and it would go with any background

ussaly my ideal background color is green or blue everything else ussally looks a bit of to an outfit

*just to let you know you never see your bottoms on a pic

happy pic day would luv 2 know how it went

I do not know what do with my hair!?

Pick a background color thats looks good with your eye color and pick clothes that look good with your background color.

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

I have semi thick curly hair. I dont have a frizz problem (i better knock on wood) i had cancer, so its like i have a new head of hair... never colored/straightened/blow dried, but my probelm is when i sleep, it gets so tangly. I try putting it up, but then the hair on the bottom back of my head just becomes a big ball of tangles. I tried braids, but my hair is layered and it doesnt braid well. I am pretty much up for anything because i am sick of my head hurting after i brush it... and my arm gets sore!!

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

Honey I feel for ya! I have the exact same problem. My bottom of layer gets so tangly it has many split ends (I don't even color or heat style), while my upper layers are very healthy and shiny! It's the bane of my existence. . .Anyway try sleeping on a silk pillowcase! The slipperiness really helps prevent tangling. Also, you might want to invest in some detangler product and a wide toothed comb, which is better for detangling. Work from the ends of the tangle upward after spraying liberally with detangler.

Peace and good luck!

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

sleep with a satin pillow case! it allows your hair to move freely and not get matted down. good luck.

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

they make a leave in conditioner. try that and see if that works.otherwise maybe try brushing it really good at night and pulling it back

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

Hmm... If your hair is long you could try putting your hair in a pony tail and then every inch or two put another pony tail so the hair stays place. Only down side is it may make your hair wavy.

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

Hi there, you are one person to admire since you beat the cancer, may God bless you always. Well you should try to braid your hair that really works.

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

Wash your hair in olive oil to untangle it.

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

silk, or soft pillow cases..

My hair gets so many tangles at night... help!?

Braid about 12 different sections, all layers individually and about 3 braids per row... does that make sense?

It's not comfortable at first, but you eventually get used to it.

Good luck.

Tired of short hair!!?

I have had the same haircut for over 10 yrs! Its short, always finger lenth on top and 1/2 on the sides.. I am just sick of it! Only problem is, my hair is VERY thick and it doesn't grow down.. It grows up into a big ball!

I would like to have longer hair, something that I can actually style! I just wanted some ideas of what I could do to make it a thinner, softer and not so thick! I just need a change!

Thanks everyone!

Tired of short hair!!?

ask your hair dresser to 'thin out' your hair. it's a cutting technique with special scissors. you could also get extensions if you are really ready for long hair now. you could even get your hair professionally straightened, that would make it appear thinner.

Tired of short hair!!?

Just wait for it to grow longer.....

Tired of short hair!!?

Extensionsss

or maybe go to a hairdresser and get a perm and aske he hairdresser to thin out your hair.

Hair Style Problems?

OK.....ppl..listen to this...I'm in a school (asian, but international) where everyone's hair style is more or less the same (perfect straight hair)...i have natural CURLY..VERY CURLY hair...last year this was a big big discussion..making fun of it @ my school...this year, i keep getting perms. I'm not worried much about the health, cuz i cut it on a regular basis, but I am worried because it gets very puffy due to the humidity, while trying to keep them down...so I was thinking spiky...like..not POINTY..but kinda spiky...and I hate short hair because it can make me look fatter...so...help me out! XD pls

Hair Style Problems?

Honestly, don't be like the other girls that have the perfect pin straight hair. Love the hair that you have. I have curky hair very curly hair too. and i used to hate but everyone keep telling me that they would kill for my hair and i do things to help my hair so that its not all over the palce. but thats not the point. you should enjoy the beauty of your hair and love the fact that its different from others. the other girls are just jealous that their hair is not as beautiful and natural as yours.

and if you want your hair to be straight just a little bit then straighten it and you can use a shampoo and conditionar to help. i use garnia (sp) sleeck and shine. and perning your hair is horrible for it your hair is going to because so damage and getting it cut is not going to help it.

hope this helps.

Frizzy/wavy hair round face should i get side swept bangs?

Dying my hair lighter help!!?

ok, so i have right now veryyy dark brown hair, origonally dyed it a black brown on December 31.

well since its getting towards spring timer , i wanna dye it.

so right now my hair is dark brown, and im thinking of going to a professional and getting an all over color of a light brown, then getting veryyyyyy subtle highlights just a few shades lighter.

my hair is in healthy, good condition and i was wondering if i did this if the damage would be big??

i know it will damage my hair, but i wanna know if its gonna make it look straw dead or brittle?

also what do u recommend for using to deep condition and keeping my hair healthy after i dye it??

(here are some pics of what i have now and what i want)

What i have now:

http://i28.tinypic.com/2gy3rib.jpg

What im thinking of (but a little darker):

http://i30.tinypic.com/2z7loug.jpg

thank you!!

Dying my hair lighter help!!?

if you have dark brown/ black hair, you usually have to bleach it before you can dye it a light brown color, and bleaching your hair damages it.

Dying my hair lighter help!!?

I think it would look really nice on you, it would really brighten up your face and bring out your eyes.

I would make sure to get it done by a professional to avoid damage.

I recomend natural hair products, you can pick them up at the health food store. Conditioners with bioten are very good for hair.

But as far as a good deep conditioner goes, I like the Ion Moisturizing Treatment. You can buy it at Sally's. After you wash your hair, just towel dry it, saturate your hair with it and leave it in for as long as you'd like. I usually leave it in for about an hour or an hour and a half.

Best of luck!

Dying my hair lighter help!!?

Why not just have the highlights done instead of coloring all of your hair plus highlights. It can get very dry and brittle after to much is done to it. Your hair looks very pretty and healthy the way it is now.

Dying my hair lighter help!!?

Kinda looks better but i advise against it i would do like a dark brown with caramel brown %26amp; auburn highlights

Dying my hair lighter help!!?

well first off you dont dye your hair lighter..

you can either call it lightening or bleaching.. %26amp; they will probably have to do a soap cap on your whole head to pull the color..

%26amp; I wouldnt plan on your hair being exactly how you want it but I m sure it'll turn out to look goo though..cause youre not ulgy

as far as your hair looking like straw..uhhh.. I d say it might be a little stringy who knows your hair might be porous already %26amp; pull easily .

%26amp; us any kind of deep conditioning I like Redken Butter Creme ...

Oh %26amp; you can also ..get Cholesterol put it all over your hair., put a little plastic throw away cap on your head %26amp; heat it up ..keep it warm for at least 15 min.but keep it on 30 ..rinse %26amp; that is also deep conditioning..but its going to make your hair heavy %26amp; ...you might just want to throw it on the ends your hair looks like it real fine

Dying my hair lighter help!!?

Try some highlights of a light red also....it will make it Snap!

Use Clairol Shampoo for color treated hair(and damaged hair). Try Clairols new "Nice'n Easy" Color seal weekly conditining gloss in the dark blue tube with silver lettering at a Superstore. It is a leave in and not rinse out.

Also you might like "Shine" it comes in a clear tube at a Beauty Supply store and is also a leave in conditioner.

Bump on Head after Hair Transplant?

I recently got a hair transplant (my fourth). Each time I've gotten one, I would get random pimples on my scalp as some of the hairs grew in which were no big deal and I could easily drain them and they would go away. I have a random bump on my scalp which I was unable to drain after several attempts. The bump is red and almost feels like the texture of a wart. I am worried it might be keloid although I have never had one before (i'm 28). Also I have no bumps in my donor area or anywhere else. Could this still be a keloid or could it possibly be something else? It is about the size of a pimple. I'm worried it may blow up into something huge. I've seen some crazy photos.

Bump on Head after Hair Transplant?

First, I suggest you go back to the doctor who did the transplant coz that person knows well what had happened during the procedure. Yes it could be a scar where the hair should be planted (but the doctor missed it ). Are you prone to keloids? ( you can check with your other scars like the back, chest for these are the ones prone to keloid. ) If that is a wart, it should have like a rough texture, then stop manipulating it or traumatizing it (even if its kelloid) since it will just make that thing grow.

God bless

Bump on Head after Hair Transplant?

check for cancer before you jump to conclusions and overlook it

I want my original dark brown hair color back. Its orange!?

When I took a prescription a couple yrs ago, I lost a lot of hair. People told me if I colored my hair which is normally med/dark brown, fine, %26amp; oily in no time -to something lighter, it wouldnt be so noticable. I did color with a permanent color to a light brown/dark blonde which gave me a light brown that appeared kinda orangey. Since it helped with the problem I was ok with it. Now my hair has grown back in, and I want my real hair color back. Now, each time I color it with med brown about every 6 weeks, It looks beautiful for about 2 weeks then goes back to that orange color. I hate it. What is the best way to start the process of getting my hair back to normal. If I keep coloring it, arent I just continuing to over process my fine hair making this a never ending process? I am in my mid 30's and had never ever colored my hair my entire life, so this was big for me. Any info would be great, Im pretty much clueless when it comes to hair color. Thanks so much for helping

I want my original dark brown hair color back. Its orange!?

See a professional that specializes in color correction. Doing it yourself has obv iously not worked, and you might spend some money, but imagine how much you've spent over the months trying to get your hair back. It will be done right and look great.

I want my original dark brown hair color back. Its orange!?

Always go to a professional. There may be a simple solution to your problem. I used to dye my own hair and after a while it was nearly plum colored and would not fade! It was patchy and definitely did not look "done". Now, when I go to my hairdresser I always leave feeling beautiful...and no one would be able to tell I wasn't a gorgeous copper-ish redhead naturally. It's worth it, let me tell you! Good luck! I wish you the best. I know how a woman and her hair are!

I want my original dark brown hair color back. Its orange!?

another way to go about it without having to make a stop by the salon is to go to a beauty supply and get a good hair dye. Da Vinci is really great haircolor and if you can get your hands on it.. schwarzkopf (spellcheck?)

also buy a color sealer and shampoo/cond. that is color safe (sulfate free) this will make your color last longer.

Do u like when someone has natural wavy hair?or you like it straight better?

1)If u(girl) have a small face......... big eyes........young look......White skin.......Black Long hair then wich one you rather choose?

2)Do u like to have wangs with either straight or wavy hairstyle?or not?

3) What is the best looking if you are fashionable person?

Thank u ;)

Do u like when someone has natural wavy hair?or you like it straight better?

It depends on what look you are going for. I think wavy would give you a more soft, feminine look.

Do u like when someone has natural wavy hair?or you like it straight better?

With the face you described, I would say wavy. Or, you could cut it short.

Do u like when someone has natural wavy hair?or you like it straight better?

I always prefer natural waves!

Do u like when someone has natural wavy hair?or you like it straight better?

I prefer prefer natural waves.

Do u like when someone has natural wavy hair?or you like it straight better?

no no no.. i have a small hair and when i had black hair natural waves did not look as good as straight . everyone would love it straight. also try side ways bangs and not straight across with mild layers.(not too many) hope that helps

I have really long hair and have been thinking about getting it cut short, does short hair look good

I don't know how short you are thinking of going, but I can tell you from experience that a huge change is shocking. If your face is on the round side, you should not cut it crazy short like Natalie Portman or Keira Knghtley. My hair used to be down to my waist, and I needed a change. I cut it to about my collar bone with lots of layers and a long, sideways bang. It was the best thing I ever did. I go so many compliments. My face is relatively round and I find that the length I cut it to, with most of my layers and angles starting at the chin, was very flattering and easy. So, good luck and happy cutting!!

I have really long hair and have been thinking about getting it cut short, does short hair look good on bigger

Go for it, if you don't like it remember it will grow back. It will probably look really great on you.

I have really long hair and have been thinking about getting it cut short, does short hair look good on bigger

I'm a guy, not the one in that picture, by the way. I don't know if my adventures in hair will be relevant, but I'll tell you anyhow. I grew my hair down to my shoulders and then got it cut short. All of a sudden people started being much nicer to me. I let it grow long and then got it cut short a few times as an experiment and it always worked the same. Hair grows slowly and you don't even notice people becoming gradually more unpleasant, but when you get it cut, the change is sudden and you do notice that people are treating you differently. Finally I decided to just let everybody be nice all the time and I've kept it short ever since.

I have really long hair and have been thinking about getting it cut short, does short hair look good on bigger

step by step... cut it just below your sholders and see how you like it, and also how it behaves at that length. if you like it after living with it for a bit , you can go shorter, but if you go short right away and hate it, it takes an awfully long time to get back that lost length!

I have really long hair and have been thinking about getting it cut short, does short hair look good on bigger

I have really long hair too, and envy your guts! What's important is that YOU like your hair, whatever you decide to do with it. And perhaps it would be less traumatic to get it cut short in stages, a few inches every few weeks. Good luck!

I have really long hair and have been thinking about getting it cut short, does short hair look good on bigger

if you are asking if larger women look nice with short hair. the answer is yes. depending on the cut and the shape of your face.

I have really long hair and have been thinking about getting it cut short, does short hair look good on bigger

my wife is a hairdresser and she says... " too long of hair on anyone just drags your whole look down. Sometimes long hair acts as a persons security blanket... it's easy to hide behind so the thought of cutting it off is scary.. but let me tell ya.. it is very liberating. I know of what I speak. I had hair that was to my waist and one day I decided.. hey.. I want to cut it, and it was the best thing I did. It lifted my face and gave me a sense of style beyond my "hippy-shiek". Then I went and got a new colour and some highlights to really spruce up the new look. But beware... don't let a stylist go crazy. I didn't crop my hair off into nothing because hey ... there is such thing as overboard. A nice length to begin at is armpit length and add some nice LONG layers. If you have hair that you have never had processed ( permed or highlighted) and you cut off 10 inches, donate it to Locks of Love... it's a place that takes that hair and makes it into wigs for children who have cancer and have lost their hair from chemo. So if you decide you miss your hair after you get it cut, atleast you'll still feel good about what you did with the hair you cut off. Besides, it will grow back if you really don't like it. Just don't go crazy cause the shorter you go the longer it takes to grow back, but have some fun and get a new look.. it's time!. Good luck.

I have really long hair and have been thinking about getting it cut short, does short hair look good on bigger

If your more on the heavy side, mid length is best. Like Just below your shoulder blades. If your face is rounder, a pixie style short cut will only increase the size of your face. The best short hair cut for women with rounder face or more prominent jaw lines is a cut about an inch and a half below your chin. Check out some of Julia Stile's shorter cuts. Oh, and one more thing. If you're just getting sick of the same old hair style and that's why you want to cut it short, start slowly. Your hair is long so you can try a ton of different styles. Maybe start by getting layers and side-swept bangs. And then work your way to a short cut. Hope this helped!

I have really long hair and have been thinking about getting it cut short, does short hair look good on bigger

Hair grows -- but it grows slowly (just 1/2 an inch per month).

As a person who's gone from long to short very suddenly, with very bad results, my suggestion is ... cut off 3-4 inches at a time. If you take it in stages, then you won't be forced to spend months with a haircut you hate.

Your question was cut off. "On bigger ..." I don't know what you meant there, but I do have another comment. Speak with your hair stylist about what sorts of styles suit what sorts of faces and builds. That might help. As a for example, I'm super tall -- so very short hair makes me look out of proportion. I also have a very round face -- so very short hair makes me look heavy. Basically, I should never have had short hair ... :-)

I have really long hair and have been thinking about getting it cut short, does short hair look good on bigger

I like long hair, personally, but if you want a change, go for it!!

As long as you love it, do it!

If you decide to, donate it to locks of love.

Also, you might want to do it in steps, since chopping it all off may be shocking and not what you want.

Do whatever pleases you!

Good luck!

My hair is very curly and thick. Hair cut ideas?

I prefer my hair shorter because it is easier to work with but then it gets too big and frizzy. I could really use some styling/hair cut ideas please!

My hair is very curly and thick. Hair cut ideas?

i have very curly thick hair too. i like it best long i suggest using shampoo for curly hair with anti frizz cream as well. i use sunsilk de frizz (its the green one) shampoo conditioner and 24/7 cream.

my friends with hair similar to mine go to a special salon for curly hair and they offer tons of products so im sure there is something out there

good luck!

My hair is very curly and thick. Hair cut ideas?

shoulder length. long layers. leave in conditioner and styling gel.

My hair is very curly and thick. Hair cut ideas?

just shave ur head...like all of it off....

My hair is very curly and thick. Hair cut ideas?

What I'll choose is to get short layers.

I know because I have the same problem, and I'm going to get the same thing.

Also if you want to straighten it, it really looks good!

My hair is very curly and thick. Hair cut ideas?

You could always go with a straightening shampoo or get a straightening iron and if you like the straight look, cut it and then you'll have more options. If you don't like it you could always go back to curly.

My hair is very curly and thick. Hair cut ideas?

Understand, curly, frizzy and very big hair!

Layers of course at least 3 inches on top, if using a round brush, when blow drying use shampoo and conditioner (many types that eliminate frizz and fullness, if you know what your looking for.)

A little below neckline and about 2 inches when dry, and allow for shrinkage.

A razor cut and they should texturize as they go along.

It's cute sassy and feminine.

Not sure if you like bangs, wish you would have been a little more specific.

2 real good products for relaxing your hair without the use of chemicals.

Nice product for blow drying.

Matrix makes: sleek look (shampoo and cond. numbers 1 %26amp; 2)

If you would have mentioned your hair type could been more help-

Bain de Terre-makes a recovery complex(anti-frizz shampoo and cond)

Good Luck

Any product suggestions for naturally curly African-American hair?

Hi!

I am an african american young lady who had stop perming my hair years ago in order to let my naturally curly grow in. Now that I no longer have a perm, it's like getting to know my hair all over again. I have tried several products (i.e. creams, leave-ins, foams, lotions, etc.) but can't find the right combo for my hair. The products either leave my hair too frizzy, too dry, too hard, too big, etc. Just to give you an idea of what my texture looks like, it's similar to Kelis's hair was before she recently cut it of or like Beyonce's hair in it's natural state.

Any product suggestions for naturally curly African-American hair?

Truthfully, I don't know but this site's forum is especially for african american women and discusses hair products. It is really good and might give you a few ideas.

ok i have relly curly hair also you should go and buy some RUSK BEING RUBBER GUM omg this stuff works sooo good its not sold at regular drugstores but they sell it at a store called ULTA

pantene v leave in conditioner. You use it daily. It makes your hair soft and healthy.

Any product suggestions for naturally curly African-American hair?

I too have curly hair and I feel your pain. I tend to like Pink Moisture products. They give the hair moisture without creating mass volume or a dry frizzy look. these products are available at Sally Beauty Supply.

Any product suggestions for naturally curly African-American hair?

My mom is mixed and I just look like a white boy with big lips and a fro. However, I straighten (perm) my hair and so does my mom. However, there are people in our family that go with the natural curly look. Girl I feel you because I know half of the idiots that read this don't know what a perm is to a black girl. Eww don't use Pink products like the person above suggested. They leave your hair greasy. Also when your hair is dry and you put it on it makes it looks shiny...but it looks like shiny frizz which is not attractive. I tried going with the curly hair too, but I like to change it up so that I don't have the same look every year. I really like the Ion products for moisturizing. However, I could never find a good daily leave-in. But their wash-out conditioners are really good. The best thing I can think of for you is a product called Freedom. It's an alternative to perming and doesn't have ANY chemicals. You can just leave it in for twenty-30 minutes and put curlers in your hair so that you don't lose any of your curl. It gives you really soft curls.

Any product suggestions for naturally curly African-American hair?

There is a product line invented by a biracial lady where I live in Sacramento called CURLS. She invented it because most products for african american hair were too heavy, oily or drying. The mainstream products just made her hair a ball of fluff. I will put the link below.

How come when I pluck my hair I get bumps?

I get these big bump things after i pluck my hair in the bikini area and sometimes my eyebrows, why is this?

How come when I pluck my hair I get bumps?

could be ingrown hairs or you just have very sensative skin, do not use any oils after you pluck instead use witch hazel or even alcohol and after use a salicylic wash usually used for acne it helps shed the dead skin cells so new hair growth does not become trapped under the skin.

How come when I pluck my hair I get bumps?

because you didnt wet your skin good enough. i get the same thing. when i shave i dont use enough water and shaving creme and when i do use enough i dont get the bumps or maybe your razor is dirty!

How come when I pluck my hair I get bumps?

Your skin is irritated and inflamed from all the blood rushing to it. You're pulling things out at the root, and sensitive skin doesn't react very well to this.

Put aloe vera on or an anti-inflammatory cream to reduce swelling and pain.

How come when I pluck my hair I get bumps?

id say it could be ingrown hairs. Exfoliate!

How come when I pluck my hair I get bumps?

they're little infections. next time, exfoliate the area before plucking to remove dead skin cells. wet the area and use shave gel to soften the hairs. then, rinse thoroghly and use rubbing alcohol over the area to prevent the open pores from getting clogged and infected. do not use any oils or lotions after plucking - let the area air dry.

How come when I pluck my hair I get bumps?

They are ingrown hairs exfoliate that skin

How come when I pluck my hair I get bumps?

Because they are ingrown

How come when I pluck my hair I get bumps?

It's called foliculitus.

Inflammation of the hair folicle. Make sure the area in which you remove hair is really clean. Otherwise, the open pore is swallowing bacteria and causing an infection. Try going over the areas where u remove hair with Noxzema Triple Action Anti-bacterial Cleanser. It won't burn, I promise.

You cannot change the texture of your hair, you can use products to calm it and make it feel smooth, and have a cut that outs layers in to give it less weight..your hairdresser can advise

I hav thick hair and heavy...wen i get a short hair cut they get pointed..i want silky light hair..wat to do?

Go to a salon next time you get your hair cut and get your layers point cut. To learn more about point cutting look up styles for men that say the hair was point cut. The layers will look more blended and soft. Most importantly though, make sure you like that look and know exactly what it is before getting your hair cut that way. I would not recommend getting your hair thinned out either. I do not recommend getting a razor cut because allot of times the hair looks to thin and frayed. If you leave your hair longer it may not stick up so much, try a style kind of like on your avatar.

Okay, if all else fail, there is a technique popular in Asia to get silky straight hair immediately - rebonding.

Rebonding is a process where hair softener are applied to hair to "break down" hair bonds. Then it will be steamed and keratin applied to strengthen it. Lastly, hair is set straight by using iron straighteners. In ceramic rebonding, straighteners with ceramic plates are used to reduce damage. In ion rebonding, the ceramic straighteners have ionizing qualities. After the whole process, usually an intensive hair conditioning and treatment is done. If you use the right shampoo and conditioner, your silky straight hair can last up to half a year. Rebonding used to be damaging to hair but now with new technologies, it is not so anymore. There are a lot of products specially made for the treatments and care.

I used to have super curly, coarse hair and is always envious of Chinese straight hair. I have rebonded my hair since 2001 and never turned back since. I swear by it.

My Hair! Its falling out like crazy when ever I wash my hair!?

I`m so scared.*Cry*. Today I washed my hair and I was combing my hair when clumps were coming out. After I stop coming and I had a big clump the size of my hand. This happed to me a 1 or 2 times. Is there someing wrong with me. :(

PS

I do have frizz and curle hair

I always put it back in a bun or ponytail

Sometime I don`t come my hair

I don`t wash it everyday

My moms hair falls out to

I have ezeama in my hair

Sorry if things are spelled wrong. Please help me. :(

My Hair! Its falling out like crazy when ever I wash my hair!?

First of all, pony tails and buns cause hair to break and come out by the root more. Secondly, that's not eczema it's psoriasis. You need a shampoo to treat it because this also causes the scalp pores to become clogged and this will cause your hair to be unhealthy at the root.

If you combed your hair daily you'd have less coming out than if you leave it for a day or two as hair comes out each day. If you leave it, it just looks like more.

Some times of the year your hair will fall out more as well.

Vitamin deficiency can be an additional cause. Are you taking a multivitamin? Flax caps and vitamin A in proper doses will help your hair. Do not take more than the recommended dosage of vitamin A or it will have the reverse effect.

If you comb your hair out daily...the old 100 strokes idea, your hair will be healthier because you are giving your scalp a massage and combing out dead skin cells...hair, etc. It is not good to go for a day without giving your hair a good brushing.

Also, find a good "leave in" conditioner for your hair. You don't need to shampoo daily but your scalp should be kept clean. Going days without washing is not good. Towel dry your hair and apply a rinse conditioner. Leave it in for a few minutes and rinse. After toweling again, apply a "leave in" conditioner.

So there you go. 1)Look into a psoriasis shampoo (or find one with Tea Tree Oil which is natural, and use as directed. 2) Towel dry your hair before using a rinse conditioner (it will work better than if your hair is saturated with water) 3) Use a leave in conditioner after toweling or drying for wear 4) Get some flax oil capsules and a multivitamin 5) Brush daily...

**********6) Look into a hair style where you don't have to wear a pony tail and/or bun so much. Give your scalp and hair a break!

My Hair! Its falling out like crazy when ever I wash my hair!?

Change shampoo, conditioner and (this will sound strange) if you drink alcohol stop. Good Luck.

My Hair! Its falling out like crazy when ever I wash my hair!?

I have the same problem. My hairdresser says it's normal and buy some of that leave in spray conditioner for no more tangles, your hair will love you for it and be careful how you pull on your hair when it's wet. It's very fragile then. If you are very concerned, talk to your doctor but they tell me that the average person loses a ton of hairs everyday.

My Hair! Its falling out like crazy when ever I wash my hair!?

Your hair goes through fall out, and grow back stages. Your fine!!! :) Mine does it every year. Don't worry!!! :)

Daughter Color Her Hair?

My 13 year old daughter is going into 8th grade and she has been nagging me to color her hair. She tells me that everyone at school is doing it and alot of her friends are too. She wants to go either Nicole Richie blonde or Ashlee Simpson blonde. I don't know if she's too young to start coloring her hair or if it won't be that big of a deal. Please tell me what you think. Thanks!

Daughter Color Her Hair?

I'm in 8th grade and I colored my hair for the first time this year. If you let her, she should probably go to the hair salon to get it done, or at least so they can pick out the best color blonde. Coloring your hair blonde is the hardest color I think, especially if your hair is dark...it could come out a weird light brownish color. I don't think she is too young either, many kids are coloring their hair these days...I see little kids with their hair a different color each week. Hope I helped!

Daughter Color Her Hair?

she should make it ashlee simpson blond, i dont think she is too young

Daughter Color Her Hair?

na it's not too young it's just hair coloring. As long as she does well and school and is an overall good kid then you should let her.

Daughter Color Her Hair?

i think its definitely ok to color her hair, its just a matter of upkeep. i have naturally dark brown hair, and when i went blonde for awhile it got really expensive. plus i had to get my roots done or my whole head recolored every month. just take that into consideration. maybe instead of full hair color, she can do highlights, which are much less dramatic and grow out better.

Daughter Color Her Hair?

the other day at the mall i saw a nine year old or there abouts with colored hair. (to young) I don't really think 13 is to young today. sometimes we have to let them do some things so they fit in, or else they look like the weirdos (not that she is) but you get what I mean. kids really are growing up to fast but we need to pick and choose the battles. Blond all the way may be too harsh, try to come to some happy medium

Daughter Color Her Hair?

Has there been a time when you set a rule like no make up until you are of a certain age? If you have already said no don't give in if it is a big deal to you.

On the other hand, hair color is a fun way to express yourself. If her hair is really dark though, it may take time to get it that blonde. Good Luck!

Daughter Color Her Hair?

Why not just some blonde highlights?

Daughter Color Her Hair?

Nah, that's not too young- that's when everyone starts! I first tried a washout in grade 7...

Take her to a hair salon so that she doesn't have a horrible experience like many do at that age. She'll likely outgrow the want for bold changes when she's older and comes into her own.

Daughter Color Her Hair?

sure, i dont see how it could be a problem...good luck ! :-)

What are some good products to help straighten curly hair?

Its hard to straighten my curly, frizzy hair. By the next day its one big puff ball. help.

What are some good products to help straighten curly hair?

Pantene's line of hydriance curls really tames curls- but more recently I have used the "Aussie" line and they smell really great too.

What are some good products to help straighten curly hair?

I have the same issue. You can always use a chemical straightner or relaxer. I also use garnier products to help oil my hair and keep it from being dry.

Is there an easy way to take care of hair getting wound around the vaccum spool?

I have very long and thick hair and anyone else with it will vouch that there is lots of shedding. I vaccum about every other day and every time I look at the spool underneath all my hair is wrapped around it in a big knot. I usually have to resort to sccissors to get it out. Is there an easier way? I have a Dyson and I spent too much to have my hair break the darn thing! Thanks!

Is there an easy way to take care of hair getting wound around the vaccum spool?

I have the same problem with my wife's hair. But sorry to say hon, there is no real easier way of taking care of this. Except I use a utility knife or razor blade. But its still the same, hair on the roller brush, gotta cut it out, etc... Just make it part of a continuous action plan that you do after you vacuum.

We had a problem at our old house with the carpet clogging up the hose after every couple weeks of vacuuming. And this was with my old vacuum I got from my parents that cost them like $2000 15 years ago. So, I totally didnt wanna ruin this one.

But like getting yer oil changed in yer car, drinking water, washing dishes, its just something you gotta do.

Is there an easy way to take care of hair getting wound around the vaccum spool?

I know about shedding, plus I have a very hairy golden retriever! It takes a little extra effort, but your vacuum will thank you for it, I quickly sweep the rugs with a broom, balling up the hair before I vacuum...long live long hair!!!

Is there an easy way to take care of hair getting wound around the vaccum spool?

razor blade is the answer-swipe it across the roller and all wound materials can easily be pulled off roller

Is there an easy way to take care of hair getting wound around the vaccum spool?

I cut it off with a scissors

Godmother got my hair bleached professionally. I don't like it. What do i do?

My godmother paid for my hair to be bleached and to be dyed pink. But she told me it would look cooler with streaks. So we put in streaks instead. My hair is now almost white with one big pink streak on one side and a few all over. I wanted there to be more streaks...but my godmother LOVES IT~! I dont know what to do. I know i have to wait about 2 weeks before i can dye it again. But i think that if i dye it pink she might get sad. What do i do?

Godmother got my hair bleached professionally. I don't like it. What do i do?

It's YOUR hair. Do what YOU want with it.

Godmother got my hair bleached professionally. I don't like it. What do i do?

Put a toner you like on it. A tone is gentle, because you only use 10 % perxoide. What ever color, you will need a protein filler ask the pros. I usually use a red fille.

Godmother got my hair bleached professionally. I don't like it. What do i do?

Go back to the salon and have them fix it. Tell the stylist you aren't happy. Don't try to dye it yourself - bleach damages the hair so much and putting more dye over it is bad. If your hair is white, it's been damaged VERY badly. Lifting hair to that level isn't something a stylist usually likes to do.

Godmother got my hair bleached professionally. I don't like it. What do i do?

Your hair, Your decisions

But also think how your killing your hair with bleach

All this dye could end in your hair falling out slowly but surely in your later years

Godmother got my hair bleached professionally. I don't like it. What do i do?

use hair spray temporary for two weeks, then do whatever you want :D

Godmother got my hair bleached professionally. I don't like it. What do i do?

I'm not answering this question but i would like to talk to "Sheba." Okay YOU ARE A WITCH!! YOU THINK THAT YOU COULD ANSWER A QUESTION ABOUT A 12 YEAR OLD GIRL ASKING IF HER NEIGHBOR IS FAT AND YOU SAY YES!!! How dare you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know what is wrong with you!

Godmother got my hair bleached professionally. I don't like it. What do i do?

Go to a salon that has someone who specializes in color correction. Don't play around with it anymore if you don't go to someone who specializes in this you can lose your hair and damage it to no end. Tell your Godmother to up the cash to get it corrected. Don't go to a salon that all of the stylist can cut, color, hilight etc. This person should only do color ONLY!! And have special training in correction.

Can anyone reccommend a good place to have my hair thermally reconditioned?

I live in Orange County, Southern California and I am half black/half spanish. My hair is very thin and frizzy. Can anyone recommend a good stylist for this procedure close to the Orange County area? I can travel as far as the Long Beach area and surrounding cities also. Big plus if they have experience with fragile hair like mine. Thanks!!

Can anyone reccommend a good place to have my hair thermally reconditioned?

I'm black, white, and American Indian. The products from Aveda are really good for mixed hair. You can find a salon that carries them at www.aveda.com. They have shampoo/conditioners for damaged hair and leave in conditioners and styling products to reduce the frizz.

You can also surf the net for a product call Mixed Chicks. It's a good leave in conditioner.

i live in orange county also. aveda i agree with the person above. there is one in the mission viejo mall near old navy on the bottom floor. they'll help you out

Hair help/opinions ....please?

Hey guys so i have really thin hair...in this pict my hair is somewhate curled...doesn't look too good I worked all day and had it up etc. anywayz my hair is naturally stick straight and thin...and it's just not attractive..but I also have a big cheeks so I think the long hair makes my face look longer/smaller whatever...

So i'm going to get myhair cut...I dont want to get it cut too short..I want it to be long...But I want to do something fun and exciting..that would look good for thin hair. I love lots of layers. Any ideas?!

I need volume and something easy to style!

Hair help/opinions ....please?

your hair would look so cute if you teased it. and straightened. layers look cute.

I wanna do my hair this way... help?

I wanna straighten my hair completely and then like use one of those hott iron scrunch ones that have like the three curling iron thnigs on it... I was thinking of just scrunching it on the top to give it more body and volume... I have thin hair and its about an inch and a half past my shoulders... I was wondering what I should put in my hair to help it look more big I usually just use hairspray and do it big like that but I don't know! It never really lasts big as I want it to. Do you think a black headband would look cute like a skinny one?

I wanna do my hair this way... help?

have you ever used the bun technique ?? lol well my hair gets really big and i liek it that way except i try to calm it down so it doesnt look so frizzy. When i get out of the shower I let it air dry til its damp then i put in either mousse or some kind of anti frizz creme and put it in a bun til it dries usually overnight is good and then when i take it out it leaves awesome curls and no frizz but it looks really nice you could try it ...you may need some sort of volumizing creme though

Need help with my hair!?

I just came back from vacation and my hair is still showing the effects of the sun, saltwater, and chlorine, plus, the humid air. And the cheap shampoo at the hotel didn't help either. I have red, extremely frizzy, and unhealthy looking hair that is mostly straight and a bit wavy. I use tresseme shampoo and conditioner with vitamin e and I dont usually blow dry my hair or straighten/curl it. Plus, I have the big issue of not being able to put my hair up in a pony tail because my hair is too thick and I just have too much of it! Help please!

Need help with my hair!?

If you want some homemade remedies then I would try olive oil on your hair. wrap it in plastic wrap and apply heat either my going outdoors in the sun or using a blow dryer to add heat leave on 30-60 minutes depending on your over all condition. Shampoo but mix a little bit of alcohol into the shampoo to cut the olive oil. Next would be a trim at the salon making sure that your hairdresser actually understands what an inch is. Most don't and the results are that they cut your hair too short :( While getting a trim why not ask to have your hair thinned making it more manageable. Then allow it to grow out long enough for your ponytail

Need help with my hair!?

Before you go full on brown, you may want to first dye your hair an ash (dark ash blonde or light ash brown) color. That way it won't pull a red or brassy tone. then wait a couple days to apply desired color.

If you are leary of diy color, then see a salon. they could maybe put highlights/lowlights in that help boost the color. Also, if your hair is all one length, try putting some long layers in. It will help with the thickness of it and make it a little more manageable.

Hope this helps!

Need help with my hair!?

I kinda have the same hair and i would die if i could not but it up in a pony tail so i would do a hot oil treatment you can get them at CVS ect. there not to price eaither or you could go get the dead ends cut off and that would probly help a lot good luck

Need help with my hair!?

Try to use a hair mask with protein in it, it will help restore you hair and smooth it out. Ask your hairstylist which one would be best for your hair.

Hair care! Brittle and dry AND damaged?!!!!?

I used to have REALLY straight hair, but I got a perm (big mistake, I know) and well, it's gotten really brittle and dry... I mean, I got highlights before I got my perm and I guess that it's not a good combination. The hair that was highlighted was especially damaged when I got the perm...

I've recently started blowdrying my hair again because I don't like it wavy anymore, but I'm scared it's going to become even more dry and brittle and I'm worried. Is there anything I can apply on my hair (essence etc) that'll help it?

Oh, and I also heard that if you cut the ends of the dry brittle hair, it'll get better... is it true?

Hair care! Brittle and dry AND damaged?!!!!?

heat is your worst enemy right now, however, more

important is it to invest into some serious great products to help repair the damage.

I love super charged moisturizer by Paul Mitchel, great shampoo and repair by pureology.

I had super damaged hair from over bleeching but my hair bounced back when I changed hairdressers and started spending money on higher qualities on products.

If you can take it avoid blowdrying your hair or limit it at least.

Hope this helps you.

Trimming the ends of your hair will make the the ends of your hair healthy, but not the rest of your hair.

Healthy hair tips:

Use a moisturizing shampoo condtioner and leave in creme. I reccomened Neutrogena Triple Moisture, shampoo conditioner and deep recovery hair mask. It nourishes and

revitalizes dry dull damaged hair to softer shinier healthier hair everytime you wash it.

If you dye your hair alot, leave your hair alone and wait to dye it atleast 3 years later or so. Hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill dry/damage your hair.

Brush your hair before shampooing and conditioner so your hair won't be tangeled and managable.

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week, Washing hair everyday strips the natural oils of your hair into duller dry hair.

Discontinue to heat style your hair or your hair will end up more dry/damaged, wait till it's completely healthy and maybe heat style once a week.

Avoid brushing hair while wet, gently use a wide tooth comb, hair is very vulnerable while wet and can break off easily.

Don't put your hair into pigtails, buns or ponytails while wet, that causes split ends, breakage and damage.

Deep condition twice a week to bring back moisture to your hair.

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks to promote healthy hair grow and prevent split ends from happening.

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, not with your nails, nails damage the scalp and nails tend to be dirty. it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water to open the hair cuticles.

While conditioner leave on for about 2-4 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to help seal the hair cuticles.

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair because of the alchohol it contains.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers, curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If hair is really dry, go to the salon to get a deep treatment on your hair.

Once a month use a special deep conditioning treatment like olive oil, vitamin e oil, mayonaisse, eggs, hot oil treatment, castor oil, coconut oil almond oil or avocado.

Take multivimains, vitamin e, follic acid or prenatal vitamins to promote healthy hair growth.

Drink lots of water for shinier/healthier hair and eat lots of protein and healthy food like meat, milk, cheese, peanut butter, eggs pasta, cooked beans and raw vegetables.

If your in the sun alot buy a cap or a hoodie to protect your hair from the sun, heat damages and drys out your hair.

Buy a leave-in-conditioner/leave-in conditioner/creme to moisturize your hair all day long and don't rinse.

After your out of the shower set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdryer your hair for 2 minutes, this will help seal the hair cuticles for a smooth shiny surface.

While combing hair, comb it gentle to avoid breakage.

Hair care! Brittle and dry AND damaged?!!!!?

The blowdrying itself is a big mistake after the hair treatments. You should've start from one hair treatment and not simultaneous with other treatments. Take your Vitamins, especially Vit D and E.

Apply mineral oils, to strengthen your hair. Cutting the ends of the hair won't do you any good.

Hair care! Brittle and dry AND damaged?!!!!?

DAMAGED, DRY HAIR: A nourishing conditioner for dry or damaged hair which can be used for all hair types: Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, whip it to a peak. Add 1 Tbls. water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy. Then mix the white and yolk together. Wet your hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and apply the mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into your scalp, then rinse the hair with cool water. Keep applying the mixture until it is used up and then rinsed until all of the egg is washed away.

cutting the ends of your hair does not make it better.

Hair care! Brittle and dry AND damaged?!!!!?

I think the key is good product. there is a big difference between the salon sort and the supermarket sort. I used to use supermarket shampoo - pantene or whatever - and have quite dry/tending to frizzy/brittle hair which i colour as well. and after marvelling recently how soft/silky/straight my hair is after the salon, despite the fact that they blow dry it and all sorts - i asked a lot of questions about how it never feels like that for me at home. first question they asked me what shampoo i used and when i said pantene/supermarket brands - they suggested i try the same sort they use in the salon. this is called evokativ smooth shampoo (and conditioner, the brand is Sebastian. ) About $30 per product. and that i would notice a huge difference by this alone (I did.)

the next thing they used when styling, was crema styler 'anti frizz control with shine' (also sebastian). she mixed this with a few drops of laminates drops, a clear silicone-based gloss. I use that now before styling and the hair is able to be straightened with an iron or blow dried straight and still has a lovely soft texture, none of the brittle/dry/damaged it used to feel like. I am sure the sebastian is just one range of many with quality products but i stress it is a salon brand not a supermarket brand, get your hairdresser to advise.

Curley hair!?

my hair used to be really curley like not big curls little ones and ever since i got layers my hair isn't curley anymore it just like wavy do you think the layers could have been the reason why this happened ? should i cut my hair normal again?

Curley hair!?

Layers should make your hair curlier. Short layers on top of long ones lets the short ones get curlier and lift up allowing the longer ones to curl better. If your hair is all one length, the hair underneath wont curl as much. If you want curly hair keep the longest layer at shoulder length, no longer than that or it will get less curly.
