What hair product darkens your hair but is not a hair dye? Toner?

I have dyed my hair probably 25 times over 2 years, not in great condition but I had to have a bleach bath after which the hairdresser put in a dark colour but she said in a few weeks it may run out and the bleached colour might show and that I should get a toner to darken it again, it did so I bought a toner as she suggested but it hasn't darkened my hair, however the toner was by Wella and after going to a few big supermarkets and Boots I found that they did not sell a very dark brown only an auburn shade, which was a bit red.

OK- STOP EVERYTHING!

1. do not use a henna!

2. what u need is a filler not a toner...

3. ask ur hairstylist to do a filler on ur hair then the color. she should know what this is...

4. cut ur ends every 6 to 8 weeks.

5. to refresh ur color after that, ask ur hairstylist for a soap cap.

trust me, i'm a hairstylist and i know what im talking about.

Toner takes the brassiness out of blonde hair. Try a henna.

Well..my mom uses this chinese henna powder thing. Its not really dye I think ;) You just mix the stuff in the sachet and apply..Thats it :) Maybe you can try some other brand in that nature. Hope I helped!

First off if you have dyed your hair it will say on the Henna packages not recommended for dyed hair!!! Becareful.

Here in our city we can go to a place that sells product for hairdressers without having a licence.

I don't know if you have a hairdressing supply company within your area but if you do - they can sell you a proffesional toner in a very dark brown.

I week before I was to be married I streaked my husbands hair - well it turned orange - we went and purchase a dark brown toner and it brought the orange down to a nice light brown.

Also buy a good conditioner for dye hair to apply after to help with brittleness.

Henna is formed from plant extract and can colour your hair but it is not a die, however I am not sure it would go onto bleached hair. It is mixed using water and smells a bit like dung you must seal it with cling film and leave it on your hair for a long period I slept with it in my hair and washed it out the next day my hair is very dark all ready and it didn't make much difference.
