Damaged hair. . .?

I have shoulder length hair and I dye my roots about once a month and all my hair every few months. My hair is very damaged.

When I dont flat iron my hair its wavy and poofy and i hate it but when I use my flat iron it burns it and makes the damage worse. And fly aways are a big problem too.

what should i do?

i condition my hair well but nothing helps. . .

Damaged hair. . .?

make sure your hair is fully dry before using any kind of iron

and dont leave the iron on your hair very long

get it trimmed often

use a silicone spray before using the iron

that's about it

if you do this.. you are doing everything right

you have to cut all the damage out and just leave it natural for a while.閳?br>Damaged hair. . .?

the only permanat solution-

cut it.

Every other day, try using olive oil. Start at the roots and massage it down. Leave on for about 15 mins. Also, try giving your hair a break from all the chemicals. My friend did the same thing, and after about a year, she started to loose some of her hair. It has too mnay chemicals in it that just ends up damaging your hair.

Alot of what you should do depends upon what your doing now... if you are going lighter, then refrain from pulling the colour through the ends of the hair there is no benefit to this and the porosity will increase each time it is done. If your depositing colour, then the hair shouldn't be taking excessive damage and you could pull the colour through the ends in the last ten minutes of processing each time or emulsify the product and work the pigment through that way. If you heat style, use a thermal protectant each time and treat the hair with protein and deep moisturizing treatments. The best option would be to contact your stylist or one you would like to work with and ask about professional conditioning treatments. The expense should not be unreasonable and they can reconstruct even very damaged hair that is then supported by home treatments between visits.

There are serums you can use for straightening your hair.

Deep conditioners, and oils. Hot oil treatments are excellent. (V05 has one, I believe)
