honestly, i look better with highlights. i got them once in july, and my dad got them for me. my mom knew about it, and she was like, w/e. now i want to completely die my hair a diff color. I just like experimenting with my look and like i said, i would look better with blonde hair acutally. i wouldnt want to do it all the time, just this color if i reallly liked it. i dont see what the big deal is, i know it damages your hair but my other friends do it all the time. (thats not why i want to though) my hairdresser even said if i helped out around her house she'd do it for free (she works out of her house%26amp;shes my moms friend) what other arguments can i make?

you're mom probably isn't only worried about the price. but the fact that sometimes dying your hair a different color will make you look fake, and not natural. but my advice is, let your hairdresser talk to your mom about it. that's what usually works for me.

As for your Mom, I'd suggest you put your case forward, explain that your *really* want to do it, and ask HER for some advice on the best way to do it - so everyone is happy, AND she's involved in the process.

You might also suggest the both of you go to a salon and add the advice of a professional to the equation. The hairdresser can answer any queations your Mom might have that concern her.

My mom wont let me do it either, there is NO way you can change their mind. You have to sneak behind your parents back and get it done,(use a diffrent hairdresser then ur moms friend) make sure you dont do it when something important is comming up because you will be grounded.
