How often does hair texture change over time?

Im really wondering if my hair is "in the process" of changing. Naturally my hair is very thick, coarse, and curly. When i was little, however, my hair was fine, straight, and not very thick at all! It started to change when i was about 11 or so.

Then, about a year ago, my hair was long (the middle of my back), and very curly! (im 16 now, so when i was about 15.) Over last summer, i got it short, a bit above my shoulders. It was still very curly, but recently (over a period of a few months) it seems like my hair is more wavy than curly. And the waves are big, not tightly wound or anything.

Does this mean my hair is starting to become straighter? Is the texture changing? And how often does hair texture or shape change?

there is no exact time hair changes but it does. It could be due to stress, nutrition, hormonal changes, medications, products even different water types and of course hair length. and products.

take it from me. im going to school for hair.

from whats i've learned, hair naturally gets thicker b/c of our bodies growing. my hair when i was born was supper curly. im talking spring loaded. lol. but as i got older, my ahir got less curlier and a little more straight. and if you flat iron (straighten) you ahir everyday, it will eventually become slightly more straight. i have been straightening my hair for years and every time i straighten it, my hair become easier and easier to do.
