I do not enjoy going out everyday and cleaning all the cat hair and paw prints off of my porch, my brand new grill,( yes its covered!, but hair flys) and my furniture! I dont enjoy going out to plop down to relax and find myself sitting in a pile of cat hair and I sure dont want to bite into that big juicy steak only to find a cat hair staring me in the face! YUCK! I know people love THEIR pets but their pets are my problem! If I wanted a cat hanging around, I'd get one! any ideas?

just spray it with mace or pepper spray, it wont do any physical damage to the cat and it will get the idea that it is not wanted on youre property

Well theres a few things you can do.
1. They make this spray stuff called Petaway or something like that. You spray this around and the smell is supposed to make the cats stay away. (Probably will make you want to stay away too if it smells bad).
2. Get a water gun. Have a little fun soaking the neighbors cats. Maybe this will make them think twice.
3. If you really want to get your point across...get a BB gun. After they feel those a few times I bet they'll stay away from your house.

hang little bits of tin foil or anything reflective in your garden...it scares cats away...also put bits of orange peel in the particular places of your garden that the cats visit...cats don't like the smell and it deters them away...hope this helps...!!!!!

There is NOTHING you can do to get rid of it. A neighbours cat has been visiting us daily for 2 years and we don't want it. It first started visiting when our own cat was alive, and has carried on and sees the garden as it's own personal terrority.

There are 3 options I know work. you can put moth balls and/or amonia around the perimeter of the area you want to keep the animals out of the area or you can go and get animal away stuff which is in a spray can. I personally, when really annoyed sit outside quietly and smack them with bean bags out of my slingshot. Or you can get a live catch trap and take them to the pound.

Have a talk with the owners. It is hard to control cats, as they are agile and slinky and able to leap over fences without trouble, but if you gently explain to the owners that you have a problem with the cats, then you have atleast achieved step one. In the meantime, if the cats persist, spray them with the hose or a bottle of water. Cats HATE this, and this will be a gentle way to remove them without hurting them, therefore ensuring that if the owners see you, they won't have much to complain about (especially since their pet is on YOUR property!). Cats tend to have a memory of that water spray after a short while, and will probably stay away. If the cats become a problem after that, then you can ask Animal Control to ticket the owners. Animal Control will be more likely to help you if you explian that you have already talked with the owners, but the problem is still on-going. Good luck!

I recommend calling your animal control. They can provide you with a trap or they can come get it for you. Make sure that if you happen to know the owner, you tell him that you are setting out traps and it would be a shame if his fur-shedding-picasso-paw-painting-steak-... *** would be caught for ruining your private space. If the cat belongs to them they might think about letting it out.

Double sided sticky tape/ Tin foil sheet. Cats hate the feel of it. Water gun when you can. Remember cat choose their territory so he does like you.

try getting an air horn in a can from a sporting goods shop...when you see the cat approaching...let a blast go...it's gonna scare the daylights outta both of ya's!!! I can guarantee it...I'll be amazed if you have to do this twice! If you position the furniture or grill right by a window, you can wait inside the house, hand on the can waiting to "blast" throught the screen at it....closest you can get to the cat the better...It may end up deaf for a day or two but it will be fine!
