Hair donation in UK?

Hiya,

I would like to donate my hair to a british organisation which makes wigs for cancer children. I was at first gonna have it cut to donate to locks of love but changed my mind for different reasons... the feedback i found on the internet, the fact that it's not mostly for cancer children and also cos its in america. The reason why i want it to be for cancer children and nothing else is because my lil sister was diagnosed with cancer three years ago.. and i can still remember how traumatic it was for her to lose it while she was already in so much pain from the medication... I really do want to do this.. She kept on telling us we shud give blood to help, but i'm a big wooss, so i thought i could give my hair instead.. It's still a big sacrifice for me as i've always had it very long... Please if anyone knows of an organisation in the UK, let me know.

That sounds really good of you, the kids will be so pleased, it would be good if more people did what you are doing. Im not really quite sure about where. The only idea that came up into my head was looking at the cancer charities like 'cancer research' website and post them an e-mail. They usually welcome comments and especially donations. They should reply to you with some links of what organizations will accept your donation.
