Can I have lots of layers with thick hair??

I have REALLY thick wavy hair..and i hate it!

I want to try something new by getting more layers in my hair but im worried if my hair will turn out a big boof..!

Your right that if you cut your hair with lots of layers then your hair will poof out in all directions!

Cut long layers and use a hair straightener with Bio Silk, blow dry your hair and if it is still frizzy and big continue to add more products but not too much. Then blow dry until hair is flat. Then use the hair straightener. Make sure you get one that gets really hot. Like hot tools.

look in some hairstyle magazines and find pictures of the hair styles that you like and bring them to your hairdresser. then ask her for her honest opinion. this is what she does for a living and most likely has some really valuable advice. there are styles with layers that will look really good on you. its just finding the right one. if you dont have a regular hairdresser then ask some of your friends who does theirs and if they are really satisfied. that is how i found my hairdresser and i love her

I used to have the same problem and was worried the same way. You don't need to worry because getting layers gives your hair more space making it healthier, look nicer and makes it easier to handle. if your hair is extremely thick, then it is perfect for layers. Your stylist is the best person to ask this of, though. You should have her thin it out to a more manageable thickness, then add the layers, that would look better than many choppy layers of thick hair which would end up looking bowlish.

I have pretty thick hair and I have layers and it works well as long as I straighten it...but if you want to let it air dry and not straighten it then it will be poofy...soo if you have a good straightener then I would recommend it!
